What Every Rental Includes
  • Unlimited kilometres.
  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Third-Party Liability and Personal Accident Insurance.
  • All applicable taxes included.
  • Up to three registered drivers.
  • 24-hour roadside assistance.
  • Free cancellation and refund, subject to the confirmed booking conditions.
  • Baby seats and booster seats at no additional charge, subject to availability.
Reservation Confirmation

All reservations must be confirmed by PanCrete to be valid. Confirmation is sent by email and normally takes no longer than 24 hours.

Submitting a booking request does not guarantee vehicle availability until you receive our written confirmation.

Vehicle Model & Category

Bookings are made for a vehicle category rather than a guaranteed exact make or model. If the selected model is unavailable, PanCrete will provide a similar vehicle from the same category or a higher-category vehicle at no additional charge.

Driver Age & Licence Requirements
  • For vehicle groups B, C and D, the minimum driver age is 23.
  • For all other vehicle groups, the minimum driver age is 25.
  • Every driver must have held a full driving licence for at least one year.
  • Licences issued in the EU, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are accepted.
  • A national licence printed in a non-Roman alphabet must be accompanied by a valid International Driving Permit (IDP).
  • Other national licences must also be accompanied by a valid IDP whenever required by Greek law.
  • The original physical driving licence must be presented. Photographs or digital copies are not accepted.
Standard Insurance

Standard insurance is included with every rental. It includes:

  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with an excess of €400–€1,400, depending on the vehicle category.
  • Third-party bodily injury cover up to €1,000,000 per person.
  • Third-party property damage cover up to €1,000,000 per accident.
  • Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) up to €12,000.
  • Damage caused by an uninsured vehicle up to €30,000.
  • Legal protection up to €15,000.
  • Vehicle theft protection, subject to the insurer’s conditions.
What is the excess? It is the maximum amount the renter may be required to pay when the vehicle is damaged or involved in an at-fault accident. No excess amount is pre-held in cash or on a credit card.
Optional Full Insurance

At vehicle collection, you may be able to upgrade to Full Damage Waiver (FDW), subject to availability and the confirmed price. FDW includes the Standard Insurance benefits and removes the applicable excess for covered incidents.

Covered items include:

  • Tyres.
  • Windows.
  • Vandalism.
  • Fire.

Full Insurance does not cover:

  • Loss of, theft of or damage to the vehicle key, remote control or key card.
  • Damage to the vehicle interior, including seats, upholstery, dashboard, trim and luggage compartment.
  • Damage to the underside of the vehicle, including the underbody, sump, exhaust and mechanical components beneath the vehicle.
Important: Full Insurance does not cover the items listed above, incidents that invalidate the insurance, negligent or prohibited use, or any other exclusion stated in the signed rental agreement. The renter remains fully liable for the relevant repair, replacement, recovery and cleaning costs.
When Insurance Becomes Invalid

All insurance cover becomes invalid in the following circumstances:

  • The driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or is otherwise unfit to drive.
  • The vehicle is driven by a person who is not named on the rental agreement.
  • The vehicle is used outside the dates stated in the rental agreement.
  • The vehicle is driven off-road or on unsuitable roads.
  • The vehicle leaves Crete without prior written permission from PanCrete.
  • The vehicle is used for an illegal purpose.
  • The wrong type of fuel is used.
  • Warning lights, faults or damage are ignored and driving continues.
  • Greek traffic laws or the conditions of the rental agreement are violated.
  • PanCrete is not informed immediately following damage, theft or an accident.
Balos restriction: Driving a PanCrete vehicle to Balos Lagoon, on the Balos access road or on any unpaved route leading to Balos is strictly prohibited. Insurance and roadside assistance are invalid on this route. The renter is fully responsible for any damage, tyre damage, underbody damage, recovery or towing costs resulting from a violation of this restriction. Balos may instead be visited by boat.
Accident, Damage or Breakdown

Any accident, damage, theft, warning light or mechanical problem must be reported to PanCrete immediately by calling 1234567. Do not accept liability, arrange repairs or leave the scene without instructions from PanCrete.

Where required, the Police must attend and issue an official report. Failure to report an incident promptly may invalidate insurance cover.

Payment & Deposit Policy

Cash, Visa and Mastercard credit or debit cards are accepted.

No damage deposit or credit card guarantee is required. Unless different payment terms are stated in your booking confirmation, you may book now and pay when the vehicle is collected.

Fuel Policy

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at collection. Missing fuel may be charged to the renter. Unused fuel is not refundable.

Vehicle Interior & Cleaning

Normal cleaning after ordinary use is included in the rental price. The vehicle must, however, be returned in a reasonably clean condition.

An additional specialist cleaning fee may be charged when the vehicle is returned with excessive sand, mud, rubbish, food or drink stains, unpleasant odours, pet hair, biological contamination or any other condition requiring cleaning beyond the normal preparation of the vehicle.

  • Smoking and vaping inside the vehicle are strictly prohibited.
  • Permanent stains, burns, tears or other damage to the interior are charged separately from cleaning.
  • Full Insurance does not cover cleaning costs or damage to the vehicle interior.
Any applicable cleaning or interior-damage charge will be assessed according to the condition of the vehicle and the terms stated in the signed rental agreement.
Traffic Fines & Local Charges

The renter is responsible for traffic fines, parking penalties, tolls and any related administration costs incurred during the rental period.

Collection & Return

The renter must inspect the vehicle at collection and ensure that existing damage is recorded. The vehicle must be returned at the agreed location, date and time, together with its keys and supplied equipment.

Please contact PanCrete as early as possible if you need to change the return arrangements. Additional time or delivery charges may apply only when agreed in advance.

Rental Agreement

The booking confirmation, these website terms and the rental agreement signed at collection form the rental contract. If a specific condition in the signed rental agreement differs from this page, the signed agreement and the insurer’s applicable policy conditions take precedence, to the extent permitted by law.
